The History of Charotar Education Society-1

One of the leading education trusts that found its origin in 1916, in the land of SARDAR, to the nearest epicenter where the White Revolution or rather Milk Revolution began. The driving source behind 12 schools and 11 colleges is stretched over 4 huge campuses which provide accommodation for more than 20,000 students taking track towards their bright careers.

The institute holds Historical Values as well, the institute is along the DANDI HERITAGE MARG (NH 228) and the alumni were among those who welcomed Mahatma Gandhi during his stay at CES enroute to Dandi. The institute has played a role in bringing revolution at the time of Dandi Heritage Marg. The essence of our late Nation leaders still lies there. The two days that he spent at the campus became a source of inspiration for the next four generations and continues to draw inspiration today as well.

The basic element which we are interested in providing is Education. Education has been our forte and the Alumni have been put to test what they assimilated at CES. They believe in themselves and so they believe to contribute in their way, small and large , to bring the change in the society. With teaching as our focus, we also look forward to impart a sense of belongingness among our students and endeavor to reach out to the society and contribute to the well being of the society in many variegated ways. Grasping things from the curriculum is not the only important thing taught here. We believe in grooming the students making them a better person, a better human being. The upbringing in the institute brings a ray of hope in life of each and every student residing in the institute. It enlightens the life of student in every aspect as it has some precious values and ethics.

The establishment of Charotar Education Society, Anand, was on 16th April 1916 by the precious Gem of Charotar Shri Motibhai Amin Saheb with an aim to develop and elaborate higher education in Charotar Pradesh, the region between the Mahi and Vatrak rivers extending from Vasad to Kheda. The constitution of the society was framed by Late Shri Vithalbhai Patel or rather the elder brother of Sardar Vallobhai Patel. Sardar Vallobhai too played an active role in the preparation of the Indian Constitution.

The management of the society in the beginning included the brothers named Shri Ishwarbhai J. Patel and Late Shri Vitthalbhai J. Patel. The Vice Chancellor of International Universities and many Universities of Gujarat have a common name in the list which is Shri Ishwarbhai J. Patel. Late Shri Vitthalbhai J. Patel is in real sense, a true leader who carried out the entire journey towards the vision of an educated society working towards development. The Charotar Education Society is stretched over 41acres of land surrounded by 4 campuses in which Kinder Garden to Post Graduation education is provided to the determined and needful students. The society runs P.T.C., B.ED., Arts, Commerce and Science degree Colleges. The institute also provides self finance courses in Science and Arts.

The institute has various other people who are associated with it since years. They are considered as the people who have witnessed positive changes and are the ones who have overcome all the struggle and difficulties to establish and enhance a huge institution for the development of the society.
