Women hold up half the sky. Women are always the leaders of
the society though they are not encouraged but somehow they manage to show the
world their talents and capabilities. The history of our country itself says
that women have played an important role right from the independence to post
independence era. The legacy was followed by that time till today and women
have proved themselves more capable, powerful in all the aspects. The year
1970-1971 has something remarkable to tell us and make us feel proud even today
which took place years ago.

Jayaben in National Cadet Corps (NCC),Chandigarh |
A young lady named Dave Jayaben who took part in National
Cadet Corps (NCC) in Chandigarh did remarkable work. She took part in this
event and was awarded as the best cadet. This was the moment of pride for
all the women out there who took part. She attended this camp and was
professionally trained here, attending this camp at the time where women were
not so encouraged for their work and in spite of such hindrances she managed to
get the award for the best candidate in her batch. This was a big achievement
made by her at that time. It is truly said by Oprah Winfrey, “Think like a
queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to
greatness.”
