Revoking Superstitions – Reinforcing Reason

Century. Here we claim ourselves to hail from a time that rejoices over the
advancement in the field of science and rational thinking. On the same land and
in the same time prevails a large mass of mindless believers who are everyday
taken by their pockets and minds and shaken thoroughly until the very last essence
of reason drains away. Against this con game that plays on people’s faith,
Charotar Education Society organizes an activity to equip the young minds with
reasoning and eradicating any possibility of them falling prey to the feign
priests and save them from being added pestilence to the social count of
mindless believers.
On
30th May, 2015 CES organized the program at the Gamdi village. The
event is a monthly occurrence organized by CES changing location with every
other occurrence. Conducted by Dr. Anilbhai Patel, he gives a behind the stage
theatrics to the fake “Miracles” that are performed by the so called “Saints”.
He shows that how simple science and swift hands can create illusions that are
marketed as “Miracles” to lead people astray. The children marvel at the magic
tricks and work their steps towards logical thinking and practical reasoning.
The event had Shri Vithalbha Motibhai Patel at the honour of Chief Guest. The company
of Special Guests included Shri Babubhai Patel, Shri Chinubhai Patel, Shri
Ghanshyambhai Patel, Shri Arvindbhai Parmar, and Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel.
Towards
the end of the event the audience was given a chance of free interaction with
the host, Dr. Anilbhai Patel, clearing their minds of superstitions and their
hearts of incredulity. This occurrence will once again occur on the last day of
June, in a new village with a new audience; once again superstition will be
taken by collar and shaken till the very last essence of ignorance drains away.
